BYU (27-7) vs. Texas A&M (24-10)
Well, the NCAA tournament brackets are finally out, and BYU will be an 8 seed and will take on 9 seed Texas A&M in Anaheim, CA on Thursday. Texas A&M ended the season 24-10 and lost in the semi-finals of the Big 12 conference tournament by only 6 points to #1 seed Kansas. Texas A&M will be yet another tough first round opponent for BYU. Normally I would complain about BYU getting the toughest first round games and getting low seeds, but I am of the thought this year that BYU had their destiny in their own hands...and blew it! All they had to do was win the conference tournament like they should (if they are really an elite team). If they would have taken care of business in their own conference tournament, then they would have had a much better first round match-up. Stay tuned for my first round prediction in the next few days.

If you won't complain I will. 1-It was a slap in the face of the cougars to be an eight seed in the tournament. 2- Texas A&M is the best/hottest nine seed in the tournament. (IU proably has more talent, but they have been shell shocked since losing their coach.) 3- Even if they beat Texas A&M they will have to play UCLA in Anaheim! Being an 8 or 9 seed is the worst seeding you can have in the tournament. You have to play a team the selection commitee thinks is equal to you, and than play a rested 1 seed. At least they aren't in the CBI like the U.
